Our Favorite Waitress at Neyow’s Creole Cafe Is Critically Injured
Jasmin Anderson, our favorite waitress at Neyow’s Creole Cafe in Mid City, was critically injured over Memorial Day Weekend in a shooting and is unable to return to work. The 25-year-old full-time server had just purchased her first home in Gentilly and was happy to go back to work after the limitations of the pandemic lifted.
Since the incident, she has undergone numerous surgical procedures to regain the use of her legs and normal body functions. Jasmin is a student at the University of New Orleans (UNO) studying urban studies who aspires to work for city improvements. She is currently being cared for her mother outside of the city but hopes she will be able to come home soon.
If you have ever been blessed to have Jasmin as your server at Neyow’s Creole Cafe, or you identify with the struggle to start over in life, please do offer your best wishes, prayers or a donation to her Gofundme to help with living and hospital expenses. Jasmin says she would love to read good well-wishes as she recovers. Email her at jasminanderson195@gmail.com.
